play and try a b/w conversion?
I'm not sure about this one. Is it okay, or does he look like he's squatting for a doo doo? LOL When I try a b/w conversion the colors in the sweater are difficult, some looking a bit IR and distracting.
I thought we could do a little photoshop practice here?

Some curve and exposure adjustments and it's getting better, I think. I got some of the face to come back but the sweater is really hot. The detail is there, ya just need to play with it some more.

think about cropping real close on the face, especially if you're having difficulties with the rest of the pic-
I've only *just* started reading up on b&w conversions, so this would be a good post to make a small personal hijack This is what I came up with. It's not as 'bright' as the other conversions, but i had a hard time keeping his cheeks from getting blown. His sweater changed colors a bit, because of the conversion.

Ivar, I'm not sure how you adjust "calcuations" in PS? is it in CS2? Gradient map is another good one sometimes.
