I am interested in creating Meta Tags for my site, I am going to start the process here: http://www.anybrowser.com/MetaTagGenerator.html

However once I complete the proceedure and aquire the meta tag info, where do I place them? Is it into my "head tag" under "Customization"?

Any other suggestions regarding meta tags would be appreciated.

thanks shane

Hi Shane, AFAIK such meta tags have no effect on your site withing SmugMug, I'm sorry to say.

    1. Keywords. Keyword every single photo. Keyword your galleries. Caption EVERYTHING. Write album descriptions that have relavent words, that will be indexed.

    2. cross-links - get other sites to link to you.

    3. start a blog.

    Thanks Andy

I can do all that. However I don't fully understand what a Blog is? can you simply define it for me. Where would you suggest I place it in my site?

For instance could I create a gallery for it in my "Conservation / Education" portal and create a hyper link for it in my main navbar?

    Thanks shane

Not on your SmugMug site - separate from it thumb.gif

    Thanks Andy

Thats an informative site, now I know what a Blog really is. One more question though.

Why not put it on my site? And if not, would I have to create a seperate website for it?

    thanks shane
