Little Lizard
Well whaddya know: something crawling on my wall that was NOT a bug for a change!
This little fella was less than 2 inches long and, though normally very skittish, somehow allowed me to get just three inches away:

Here is an edit of your shot. I brightened the orangish hue...sharpened the area in focus...masked just the eye and raised the gamma 2 points and used the unsharp mask with a radius of 4 at 25%.
Oh...and I added 3, 1 pixel dots with the brush for a little catchlight in the eye.

If only I could afford Photoshop or some other REAL MAN'S software (and a better camera), I could be a real man, too!
Steve, you can bet that some of these "good" shots that you see posted have been manipulated. It's just that I've taken so many poor shots with a good camera that I've become more adept at editing techniques.
I don't have Photoshop and never will.....it's a money pit that I have no use for.
Hope this was useful to you...that was my intent.
That Unsharp Mask seems to be of such potential utility, but I can't seem to get the results I want more than 20% of the time.
I did save your edited version in my Dgrinners folder for further study.
Just so you know!
Enjoy the Fall colors up there! They should be starting up any minute now!
Nice capture. I'm amazed that you could get so close to the bugger. We have tons of lizards running around here but the keyword is running.
There are lots of imaging software programs out there that don't cost a ton of $. You might want to look at some of them.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
You little crawler came out very nice.
Thanks for sharing.
