Heh, looks like my son in law's paintings
He's an art professor and has shows here and there.....yes, abstract......he is always saying, "so, what do you think it is?"...haha...beats me...cool looking but....um....I don't get it. Neat shots, I have no idea what my physcological profile would be for ink blots either...Laughing.gif

It's in the eye of the beholder. And this beholder thinks shot two is the best out of these.

    Thanks for looking!

They're not supposed to _be_ anything in particular (but if you want to psychoanalyze yourself with them, Swartzy, be my guest :) )

A part of me likes them because, to me, they're exercises in pure compositional form. The lines make several divisions of the image, and the bubbles at little interruptions that form their own lines that may or may not correspond to the swirls of color. There's no emotional attachment to the scene; unlike, say, pictures of a dog or a child, there's none of your own memories associated with it (at least, not for me), but on the other hand, they can be considered conveyances of a pure mood. The second one, for instance, is fairly dark, punctuated by white throughout, so may be considered a take on manic depression.

Something about these shots is very resonant with me, which is why I posted them. To me, they're very cool, but not in a way that we usually think about photographs.
