Best Vacation Ever

Hi all, Glennie and I finally got around to editing a few of our vacation photo's from this summer. It was so hard to choose and I'm not sure that these are the best but they do tell the story and that's what "Journeys" is all about. Right?

Our vacation was a simple affair this year. We visited Pembroke, a northeastern Ontario town where we once lived and loved. The country around Pembroke is rugged and beautiful with world famous Algonquin Park only 30 min. to the north. I'm getting too old for the rough conoe trips that we used to do so this year we moteled in Pembroke and took day trips from there.

Hardly anyone knows about this lttle waterfall and we had the whole day to ourselves there ...

    Beautiful shots
Awesome scenery!...very nice compositions and colors. Thanks for taking the time (as I know how much time it takes) especially for a summer trip. Isn't photography a wonderful thing? So often, because we experience the sights, the majesty, the smells, the photograph never can really tell the whole story but I can just imagine with your shared images. Thanks! Way cool.

Thankyou all for the gracious comments and Browndog, it's a long way from Arizona. If you come this way, come in the summer, prefferably June or early July. If it's a wet summer like we had this year even August would be OK. Plan to spend your time in Ontario, Quebec or the Maritimes. That's a LOT of territory to choose from and there's something different about every region but these are the prettiest areas of our country next to the Rockies. I love the Rockies but so does everybody else and they've been photogaphed to death. The Rockies are the classic Canadian cliche.bowdown.gif
