awesome shot! It was a pleasure to see all those drop experiments leading up to this too .. I just wonder how come you didn't choose to do two apple drops for synchronicity ??!!

I was looking at the finalists - amazing shots, all of them - and they all looked more refined than mine. So I'm that much more honored that you guys preferred this. Thanks again
Thanks very much Andy - I've been experimenting quite a bit with drops lately and got lucky a few times
Hehe - thanks Vandana. I was a bit late perfecting the apple drop - that thought sure crossed my mind though

I really enjoyed the photos you linked to showing the ones that didn't work. Gives a nice story behind the photo and shows how much work you put into the shot.
BTW I was browsing your gallery and "dailies" and you've given me two areas to search out -- that fire station 25 with the totem pole in San Jose... and the butterfly house.
The website for the house is:http://www.thebutterflyuniverse.com/index.html
That's just in case you wanted to read more about the house and it's owners.
I love looking at other local photographer's finds -- so thank you!
