    That looks so neat, check out the texture of it, gosh almost looks like some kind of odd spiked egg, except that you can see a stalk attached to it.

    That's a wild mushroom. Shrooms and fungi come in so many wacky and interesting shapes, colors and sizes. I always seem to come home with a picture or 3 of a mushroom/fungus every trip out.
