Roadrunners
Roadrunner behavior near Death Valley, California.
For those unfamiliar with these birds, they are the "beep-beeps" of cartoon fame. Like the cartoon birds, they run along the ground, suddenly stopping and starting. They almost never fly. They are big, slender birds, about 22" (~56 cm) long. They eat lizards, small birds, rodents, and other animals.
Stopping, looking around.
Looking for lizards
Not a run, but a trot

I don't think I have ever seen a picture of a roadrunner. I was very familiar with the cartoon, one of the greatest cartoons ever.
Great shots by the way.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
...and drive coyotes insane!
Very nice.
i love that cartoon:D
