Well, I've finally managed to sort through some of my photos from Phillip Island. I have to say, I had an absolute ball on the Island this year. I managed to share a house with "MacZippy"... what a pleasure that was. Andrew is one of the most talented motorsport photographers I have ever seen and on top of that, he is a great person... so down to earth, friendly and and absolute pleasure to spend time with. :bow He was more than willing to help a budding motorcycle photographer :clap and on top of that... he's a great cook too! :thumb

So... here are a couple of my shots... I'm certainly no threat to Andrew... but I'm learning :wink Any C & C welcome...

Seriously though, I feel I gained a super good friend and can't wait for either of us (including Emily) to meetup again. You made my weekend mate. Thank you. I feel I have a new good friend.

As for the 300/2.8... nah. I shoot Nikon and Andrew shoots Canon. These were all taken with a Nikon D2X with Sigma 70-200/2.8/HSM lens. They are very heavily cropped

I'm glad a few of mine are idea-worthy. I hope to post some new and better ones in the future.

As for the cropping, with the D2X you certainly have the pixels to work with! Nice camera.

Not surprised to hear Andrew's a class A chap in the flesh. That would be my full expectation. I think he's a very positive influence in motorsport photography.

I hope to swap photos and ideas with you again!
