Uploading, viewing and playing mpeg files

Can someone show me the steps to upload, view and play MPEG-1 files to my site? (http://ruviano.smugmug.com) I’ve convert a video file to mpeg-1 format and tried to upload it but it doesn’t show up on my site. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

8mb limit, MPEG-1 - and try the Olde Faithful for mpgs, it's usually fail-safe:
