My wife and I were in Louisville this past weekend, and during a short break in this past weekend's heavy weather we wandered into Churhill Downs and got a lookaround. Interesting architecture, beautiful buildings.

I took various exposures, thinking I'd experiment some with HDR, but I'm only using PS CS (not CS2) and haven't found HDR software in my current price range (free, or at least free trial) yet. I used PS' select by color to pull the sky into a seperate layer and then adjusted it independantly which helped quite a bit, allowing me to show some of the details in the stands without loosing the sky.

Cool shot, I like the subdued color, the sky looks great!

You don't need pricy HDR software to blend images. There are many tutorials but here's one for starters: here
If you step back there are video tut's instead of PDFs

Have you tried stacking & masking?
I actuallyl find it easier and more accurate to do it myself but I have not tried anything except HDR in CS2.

    Cheers!
