After discussing with Lordv...He recommended a few things for Macro. I already have the exact same Macro as him, but I'm using a D50
I have just ordered the following...Can't wait to try it out...
I didn't have an external flash yet and I didn't want to buy an external flash + a macro flash..too expensive...
The bracket was a recommendation from Lordv, I had no idea what to buy.

I cheat and am able to use Commander mode on my camera so I do not have any direct experience with it but the SC-29 says it will work with an SB-800 you are ordering an SB-600 have you made sure the it will work with a SB-600? Hate to have you get all excited and have to wait to change things around because of a cable.

Also if you use a flash meter you can go with totally manual flashes and save a ton o'dough to add to your galss savings later.
Good Luck
I was told that this is the cable that I need, I shoppd around locally and two different stores told me this. I'm sure it will work, my concern was (and still is), is it overkill?...Because this cable is made for some SB-800 features that the SB-600 does not have, I think I may be buying a Ferrari just to go at the corner store.
There is a built-in diffusor on the SB-600...Bu I see many people doing macro with another one, often home made...How important is this diffisor?
With a diffuser you will get much softer light and it will get rid of a lot of the shadows.
