Ooooops....just bought a D200

OOOPS!!!

I was watching an auction on Ebay...NIB D200...So I thought to myself...I'll just bid $1450 and it'll be easily out-bid right? :rolleyes

Nope...I just won, $1430! WOOT!:barb

D200 here I come!

PS: D70 is still for sale :thumb But she'll be on ebay in a heartbeat now! lol :ivar

Forgot to mention...Shipping is $18 (which is actually pretty reasonable) and includes insurance. :

....when I move away from my KM 7D's....I am seriously looking at the D200 as my replacements for them....but that also means all new glass and i am partial to my onboard anti-shake for all lens as opposed to VR lenses for Nikon and Cannon.....

Cool beans man!!! The camera is very unforgiving of poor holding technique so make sure that you are steady. And you will have to tweak some of the settings like sharpening etc. And you may end up buying better glass down the road heheheh... it's a slippery slope.

Yeah I just saw that too. Looks like all they added (like we really needed anything! ) was image authentication and something to do with the wireless transmitter. Anyway, it's an update so I uploaded it already

1. Image authentication item has been added to the setup menu. The optional Image Authentication software is required to authenticate images.
2. A Wireless transmitter item has been added to the setup menu. This item is available only when the optional Wireless Transmitter WT-3 is connected to the camera.

Great tips, thanks : I might have to bust out the 24-120VR (until I can swing the 18-200 as my main walk around).

I know the glass is coming...:cry Now that I have eliminated the bottleneck @ the body (believe it or not I had outgrown a few important features of the D70, hence the purchase) I'm sure glass is next!

All I can say is WOW

I just finished the manual (little under 8hrs) and now i'm ready to get started!

freakin impressive build quality...first impression is this camera is triple what my D70 is/was. The shutter click alone is incredible, and 22 RAW images in a row at 5fps is NUTS! I shot off over 200 pics in the first night just playing w/ Ch mode! lol
