Okay...am I really slow about this?

Do you have to sign up for the Google whatever-it-is when you click the link from SM control panel to use the Google Map feature?

Can someone let me know where that process goes...Meaning...after you go to the link, type in your SM URL it takes you to another page to create an account for some Google things...What's that about? Do you have to create the account in order to use this feature of SM?

I want to see how my map looks (I have added the locations for all my preview photos), but I am not able to do that...Guessing it is because I did not finish that Google process??

Thanks!

After you follow the link to Google that appears next to the Google Code Box on your Smugmug page, it'll take you through a very simple signup/account process that will provide you with a unique code that you put in that Smugmug box which will allow you to use the Map This feature on your Smug pages.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks Steve...

I am worn out from trying to learn everything at once so I've taken a break...later tonight or (gasp) tomorrow I will get back to fixing up my site and I will attempt the Google link again...trying to get SM customized before sharing but there's SO much to learn!

To be honest...the main reason I have signed up for an account is because of this forum/SM support in general. I found SM by accident and it sounded great, but intimidating too...The forum is what sold it for me!

I've seen so many awesome sites...I hope to have a customized one ASAP too thumb.gif
