I'm doing a festival this weekend that will entail setting up a booth. Unfortunately the site has no internet access. Is there an option for an offline version of our sites, or even a condensed version for such a purpose?

No, I'm sorry there is not. You can do screen grabs though.

I know this is not the answer you want, but something to consider when you're doing mega-sales and 2 events a weekend. :D Verizon now offers unlimited mobile broadband. It's like $50 for the PCMCIA card to do it, and $60/mo unlimited. I could definitely envision myself doing this at events sometime in the future, offering on site ordering as well as realtime image viewing from the event with some Smugmug integration, with maybe on site printing if I could find a high quality print method and doable workflow.

Until that point, maybe like Andy said, use some screenshots to highlight the website, and maybe something like Adobe Lightroom (free beta!) to showcase your local photos? Good luck! If you come up with something workable, please reply to the thread and tell us about it, as I'm interested in the same type of situation.

    Thanks!

EDIT: Oh yeah, here's the Verizon link about it if you're at all interested. http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/promotion/controller?promotionType=miniPac&action=miniStart

I, Cringely notes that Verizon's "unlimited" Internet service is limited to 5gb/month. So if you're a heavy user you may need a couple "unlimited" accounts.

    An "offline" Feature Request, perhaps???
A quick Dgrin search for SmugMugging offline prior to upload turned up this thread as being the most relevant...

Here's the scenario: I'm planning a trip abroad (a couple of weeks to Spain and Portugal). I'll have my camera and my laptop, but don't really expect to have 24x7 Internet access, and the thought of paying for Internet access by the minute in an Internet cafe just to upload images to Smugmug isn't very appealing.

An offline version of SmugMug would allow me to pre-process everything I'd need in my hotel room at night, or on the 10-hour plane ride home at the end of my trip, to be able to simply log into my Smugmug account the minute I return home, and seamlessly upload all the photos I took while on vacation into my Smugmug library.

The offline version would not necessarily have to be the whole Smugmug enchilada, just something that would allow me to 'create' galleries offline, including gallery descriptions, and pre-set all the category/sub-category info, pre-set styles, themes, etc., plus add captions, keywords, and so-on.

Is this just a pipe-dream, or something that might "have a chance" at some point?
