Everyone liked this pic in full color...BUT does spending hours doing this add to it? :dunno

    No, I think it does nothing to make the image more pwoerful. BTW, I really like the original.

    The original is fine, but the second icture would be better if the mass of green leaves in the upper right corner was eliminated (leaving only two green leaves in the top center). That, with the remaining background as textured B&W would be a more powerful image, IMO.

    I like selective colour too, but I prefer the original in this case.

    I like the original the best, love the contrast between the leaves and the green background.

    The leaves are so powerful that at first I didn't realize you had used selective color....they just draw your eyes in and you don't see the background. So obviously, in this shot, it's a waste of time. I prefer the look of the original anyway!!
