This past summer my wife and I had the opportunity to travel to Australia. Our first stop was Sydney where we stayed for five days. It's a beautiful, tourist-oriented city full of friendly, helpful people.

The night view from our hotel balcony. We stayed at Simpson's of Pott's Point.

They're awfully proud of these two landmarks: the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.

It's a beautiful city with a bustling harbor. All the action is at Circular Quay (pronounced key).

Grabbed a shot of this fellow while on a cruise around the harbor.

The Manley Ferry passing beneath the Harbour Bridge.

Sydney is all about public transportation, including this monorail.

No shopping trip is complete without a stop at the Queen Victoria Building.

Another highlight of Sydney is their aquarium. In Melbourne one must visit the zoo; in Syndey, the aquarium. Here's a few shots:

Australians are devoted to public art which is ubiquitous.

Not my preferred method, but another way to see the harbor.

The Opera House is a wonder, inside and out.

Day or night, Sydney is a wonderful town. We had several more stops while in Australia. I'll post more later. Here'sthe rest of the Syndey pictures if you're interested. Thanks for reading.

C & C always welcomed.

rolleyes1.gif wow thats a flash back !! I lived in Kings Cross for a few years & almost every saturday night we would pour concentrated detergent into that very fountain & watch (drunk as lords & laughing) as 2 feet of foam went out across the road & down the steet...they were good memorys.

Glad you had a great time mate. You certainly caught the city well looking at your album.
