Petit LeMans, RoadAtlanta
Just returned from the Petit LeMans, held this last weekend at RoadAtlanta. Great race, and very very fan friendly, with access to the pits, even during the race! Here some nice shots, be sure to visit the gallery for more (too many really!)
This race is a multi-series event, where four 'series' of cars race at the same time. Below, are the high-end LMP1 series, which have been swept, 8 races in a row, by the turbo diesel powered Audis...the third car below..(more of Audi)
The track has great access, and good sightlines for fans, giving you the real excitment of racing:
As I mentioned, it was a real delight to have access to the pits, as a fan (not press photog):
and, they let all the fans onto the track prior to the race start:

I was invited to this race by my nephew who works for a racing oranization doing PR. I wish I had taken him up on the offer after seeing your shots. Instead I stayed home and watched Georgia Tech beat Viginia Tech in football. YESSSSSS!
