I went to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina this past weekend and took these photographs of the lighthouse at the Harbour Town Marina located in the Sea Pines Resort area on the south end of Hilton Head.

These are different views taken during the early to mid-morning hours. I wish that there had been a few more clouds in the sky (like there were none).

Comments and suggestions are welcomed and appreciated.

All taken with a Canon 5D and either the EF 24-70mm f/2.8L or the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM. Click on the individual images for rest of the EXIF data.

Sweet shots Dixie. It looks like you were shooting in some strong light and handled it very well.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Yes, Harry, definitely some strong light that morning. I took the first shot just before 9 AM and the last just after 10 AM. Luckily for me, the sun was coming from almost directly behind me or just over my right shoulder for all the shots. Additionally, the water acted as a great reflector or else some of the boat hulls, etc. would have been in deep shadows. Some days the light gods are with you and others they get you any way they can.

All of these are nice but that first one is a winner. Nice composition and colors. Contrast and exposure are spot on.
