Although the pizza does look yummy (my favorite local pizza joint offers the same types), the cardboard box is really distracting from the shot. If you look at other food shots they typically have very little to distract from the food they are shooting. If you could have put it on a large pizza stone or that paddle that they use to pull it out of the oven, it would have been a stronger image. Thanks for the pics... I think I know where I am going to have some lunch today :ivar :food

It's a snapshot...nothing more. I eat food, I don't try to make art out of it. :D:D:D I had the cam on a tripod out for lightning shots so i fired a few frames off.

:eat hehehe :smooch But if you had intended it to be art then what I said would have made sense... bwahahahaha rolleyes1.gif That really did look yummy what was in it besides the tomatos? In Phoenix we have a place called Oregano's that serves Chicago deep dish (casting a tall shadow) just like the one you posted.

    Good shot, made everyone hungry.

My husband just passed by and saw my monitor. He's from Chicago and says that must be from Uno or Duo's!! Either way he's in pain for Chicago pizza.

Skippy, that's the classic "Chicago Style" pizza. It's considered "stuffed" deep dish and the filling is cheese and whatever you want. That one had spinach and suasage and was uber good. I'd estimate it at 1.5" thick in the middle.
