More of that great "Yuri light", and more beautiful portraits. I love the girl's brown eyes and the boy's freckles.

Great portraits, I love them all.

To me, 1-4 are very good, as all your shots are, Yuri but #5, to me... #5 is better than the rest. I like the compo, the light, and the pose all very much.

One day, when I grow up, if I'm very lucky, I will master lighting faces the way Yuri does. Beautiful, that 5th shot is amazing.

I can not explain why, but the photos of the boy don't do anything for me. However, the shots of the girl move me. Very, very nice!

Great shots, Yuri, and, as was said before, you are the master at lighting faces. However, I did find some of the BG a little busy.

Just gorgeous! I'd love to see a few of them in B&W just to see some of the distraction of the colors and the background fade away since the lighting is so perfect on their faces....

Would you mind describing just how you set them up to capture the light so incredibly well? And just out of curiosity, what equipments/settings were you using? Your white balance is spot on and that's something I don't get without a grey card - did you use one or is your camera good at that?

Didn't think you were going to get quizzed, did you?!? Laughing.gif!

    Thanks in advance! Gorgeous photos!

    Priviet [Hi in Russian]!
First of all, the weather was perfect for portraits - cloudy, scattered light.
I met them at the place where my wife Galina rides a horse (30 min from our city of Voronezh). I found them very interesting for photography.. so asked to pose...
I use Sony R1 with A priority. WB was set to day light...
Sorry, Just no secrets... Must say I always talk, talk and talk with my 'models' during takin photos trying to catch the right expression on their faces....
If you have any questions - feel free to ask (u can also use my email address)
I like your portrais (sorry dont know your name...)
    Spasibo,
    Yuri
