So they say that the only stupid question is the one you don't ask...:noob
So I have one...forgive me, but new to the whole world of digital, and am looking to buy an portable memory source(is that an external memory device) Something that I can take on the road with me, stick my card into when it's full and trust that all those pictures will be there when i get back home.
I have 2 sandisk Extreme III 2.0GB cards and another lesser sandisk, so I'd like to find something that i can use with these cards that will hold several card "dumps" I have a job that takes me on the road in the next couple of weeks. Am I stupid for hoping to pay around $200 for something like this???:scratch
Anyone recommend some good reliable names, and a good size that i should look for?
thanx in advance!:wink

I bought a Wolverine FlashPac 7000 (60GB version) at Fry's Electronics (brick&mortar in California, not available online) a few weeks ago for $139 with a $50 rebate making it $89 after rebate. It's working out pretty good so far. Here are links to it at B&H and Amazon, however it's a bit more expensive at these online sites.

It looks just like mine, except it's 100GB.

I can't find them anywhere!!! How pathetic!!!
I have a PD70X/HD80 and ordered my original unit back when it was only available from Eastgear.com in Hong Kong. You can also get it through Hyperdrive.com here in the US now, too. Same with the competition--there's a number of online places to get these.
