geese flying

I was not ready for them to take off. this is a far cry from the great shots others load.

    It's hard to make geese look good...at least for me it is. This one works very well.

    I like the position of the geese. nice cluster of 3...works well compositionally. Having said that I think this would have worked much better as a horizontal shot. The geese are a bit too close to being centered. I think had you positioned them to the left of a horizontal frame and towards the top 1/3 of the frame, you would have a much better composition.

    The background is a bit busy. Opening up your aperture (f/2.8, f/4) would have helped blur the background and helped eliminate competition for the viewer's attention.

    Flying birds seldom let you set up the shot the way you would like. We all do what we can. Nice job.

    I think they ended up flying over my car today. :cry

    Good capture of a difficult subject (they do move fast). I agree with Mike's points about the comp.
