Retirement at last

One of my coworkers retired last week and we had a mini-celebration at the office. I really enjoy taking pictures of people and thought this one really captured his personality. I am working with some new software and was quite happy with the results from post processing.

    Very nice photo.

But, I don't think it's quite fair to drop this teaser and then leave it hanging. Tell us, what software are you using for you post processing?

I just switched from GIMP 2.2.10 to Paint Shop Pro 9.0. For my current requirements, PSP makes up for what I could not do in GIMP.

    Chuck,
Thanks for the advice. I see you're my neighbor just down the road - I live in Cary.

For now, I'm using a Sony F717 to force myself to work on composition and lighting so I can learn how to judge exposure, focal point, etc. PSP has these really great auto modes that I can tune that let me learn how to post-process and recognize areas that need correction. I'm sure once I move up to the Canon XTi sometime over the next two years I'll need to budget for Lightroon.
