I like it. It has a "corner of the world" feel to me.
Not sure how the judges will see it, but I think it's a good shot.
The only thing I see is the horizon is a little to close to the center of the shot for my taste.

Thanks...not quite idealic but I can't really control the light ;) Should have been there about 15mins earlier so more of the rocks were illuminated. But still, not bad either. rolleyes1.gif

great shot!!! One thing that distracts me is the little bit of sand on the metal bar about 1/2 way down... When looking at the shot, my eyes seem to steer right to it, taking them away from the rocks.

I like this image, a very nice interpretation of 'corner' as there are two of them present. I like the sand on the metal piece, looks like someone took a big ol' bite out of it. It adds character that wouldn't be there if the metal piece were clear of sand. It gives the eye a place to pause and then go on to the big pay off of the stones at the end.

    Nice job - Dizzy

Yes, the bar also isn't straight so add the sand to that and it's..well...life eek7.gif hahaha seriously though, it's one of those, "i can change it in Pshop, but should I? probably not..."

    such is life. thumb.gif

I think I'll search for the Rule of 3rds version and post again to see which one people like better. :):

I like how there're several corners in the shot. The negative space also works for me. I especiallty like the black line that is so full of contrast in comparison to the stones, while the stones themselves have a distinct character of their own. It's almost akin to an arrowhead...or a directional indicator.
