Would you sell this image? I like it, but talking with a pro friend, he told me I should be more careful when selling photos of food, because a bad work can affect my photo career in a very negative way, what do you think about this?

I have to agree - the DoF seems too shallow here, I also like the idea of a piece cut out (and sent to me for taste testing).
I can't really tell what that item is in the background - it looks like a piece of the cake, but with it so out of focus, I think I would rather not have that element in the photo.
What did Cinderella say when she left the photo shop? "One day my prints will come."
My wife is a professional cake maker.
The only thing that makes me more angry than photographing them is delivering them. That is horrible too.
