About time we saw some raptors! Northern harriers are fun to watch, and photograph. Good shots Ric! clap.gif

Very nice Ric. You caught the GBH in an interesting pose and you handled a very difficult shot with the first one. clap.gif

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

They were willing to be somewhat close (never close enough) to me, but they kept so close to the ground that it was difficult to find openings in the tall grasses. I saw one get a rodent, but of course the sun was at his back.:cry

    Thanks, Glenn.:D

Ric that first shot is really nice, a great environment and behavior shot. I've only seen a Northern Harrier once and it was really far away.

I love these kind of shots...it's just that they are difficult to capture. This shot looks much better in a large size. It's very hard to let others see what you have seen......the way you saw it.
