in Chattahoocie National Park just north of Atlanta. If I knew how to use this blasted camera it would have been a great day. My inexperience is going to show on these shots, but here goes:

Walking down this path along the river bank

When I came upon this snake

if the snake was OOF, it's because I was shaking...I HATE snakes...this one looked EXTREMELY DEADLY:rofl :rofl :rofl

Now the real inexperience shows...I was sitting watching a dog play along the river bank, when suddenly i heard a flock of geese get stirred up and come flying up the river...This is my sorry excuse for B'sIF.

Don't get discouraged. Just keep practicing and reading the advice on here. That last shot would have been very nice if it was in focus. Do you know what shutter speed it was shot at? Basic rule of thumb is to keep the shutter speed at 1/focal length. That means if you are using a 300mm lens your minimum shutter speed should be 1/300 sec. for birds in flight the faster the shutter speed the better, I personally like 1/800th or faster. Don't be afraid to raise your ISO. A sharp slightly noisy image is always better than a noise free blurry image.

    Notice
PhotoDoug...I didn't say that the snake was poisonous...I said he was deadly...I could have had a heart attack:D:D:D:D. Had that snake been poisonous I would never have gotten as close as I did. He's what some people call a 'good snake", I have never seen a "good snake" only deadly ones.

Well, whatever you say, I find it still a very nice series.

All need a minor adjustment at the blackpoint. Try it, you might like it.

    Thanks for sharing.
