Hi You'll,

In October I got a VIP pass to a John Edwards rally in Cocoa, Florida to do some shooting. While getting crowd shots I caught this moment of a father and son. They really seemed to be connecting.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

It was the motion of the boys hand that first drew my attention to the shot.

Yeah, the affection the son had for the father really caught my eye while I took the shot. It was one of those moments you see that just make you feel good.

I think that shots like yours (fine one btw) really demonstrate the power of photography to stir the emotions. Right now i must have over 20,000 pics of every possible subject but the ones I always go back and that evoke emotions are of my son and my grandchildren.

Thank you very much. When I went to the rally I inended to shoot it woth my Sigma 70-200/2.8 but in a senior moment I picked up the wrong lens case when I left the house and discovered that I had brought my 80-400 instead. That lens did a much better job on those shots that night than I had anticipated.
