A Cormorant & a Gaggle of Geese
I snuck off to the park for a few minutes during my lunch hour today and finally got a couple bird shots I think are worthy of posting here. This lone cormorant was hanging out with a gaggle of geese and I had a heck of a time trying to isolate him without too many geese in the background.
This spread wing shot was w/ a 2X TC on manual focus so it's a little soft on the eye but the best I could manage on manual focus.
I got close enough (10'-15') to take the TC off and switched over to autofocus so these came out better.
Oh yeah, here's a goose
Whoah!!! Who's goosin me!
C&C Welcome and thanks for looking!

I'm actually a bit surprised that the goose shot went over so well. I take tons of goose shots but don't post them mostly because I don't consider them "Exotic" enough. They are so common here and generally regarded as pests. My dog is actually trained to chase them off of the golf course that my husband works at. They are gourmet eaters and love the bent grass on the greens! Enough to give a Superintendant heart palpitations!
I threw that last one in there just for you Jeff Glad you enjoyed it!

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
