Hello, and whatcha trying to shoot? The D2x would be hard to beat if you need a high framerate. Not to sure about using the flash. Others here do that so maybe you can get a response from them. Regarding the "book" you would like to create, check this thread.

What type of camera should you use....for what? You say you have two camera's, and they would work for most types of shooting.
