Beautiful sky colors. Only thing that I would see making this photo more interesting is getting rid of a lot of the water in the bottom half of the photo, there is just too much dead space on the bottom. The top looks good, you got just enough sky. Maybe use a longer lens or crop.

Here is the exif. I agree with you about the water. Actually I cropped out quite a bit of the water from the original shot. I was trying to keep the photo in a standard sized format and was unable to crop more water out without sacrificing some of the boats. I settled on this crop as a compromise between those interests. Better composition at the time the photo was taken may have solved helped solve that.
