Winter photos of Tahoe

Alright, I took this last winter actually... I just never messed with the photos I had taken. I looked through my archives and found a shot of Tahoe I liked, and I was wondering what you think.
I think I need to buy some gradient filters to improve my skies though. (ND gradient).
I can't figure out which one I prefer more. What do you think? Any suggestions for improving this shot, so when I go out this winter I can get better shots?

It snowed today and the past couple of days at Tahoe. I think I am going to retake these photographs. Can I get any suggestions?
You might want to convert to sRGB before sharing on the internet (the image you posted appears to be adobeRGB). The colors in the first one are much more dynamic when it's viewed in the right color space.

Well I guess that all depends on how your color profiles are set up on your computer. sRGB looks identical to Adobe RGB on my PC.
Ahh, the aRGB one looks much nicer to me.
I can't explain why you wouldn't see a difference. Most people will see a difference so it's a good practice to only post to the web in sRGB. What browser are you using? There are a few color-managed browsers that will properly display aRGB. But, Firefox, IE and Opera will not display it properly and many colors will be less brilliant and sort of "washed-out". That is how I saw the difference in your image in Firefox.
