Egret Reflection
I shot this egret last weekend. I dont get to post much these days until work slows back down ( a few more weeks). I thought I would share.

If it was your intention...then I think it borders on genius...because it portrays a strong sense of isolation and loneliness. The softness of the shot also helps in that respect.
If it was not your intention...then you were lucky to stumble onto something that you can use in the future.

Yes, the composition was intentional. I was too far away for any kind of portrait type shot. I was on top of a hill looking over the river hoping for a nice sunrise shot that did not happen. as the light grew stronger I watched the birds wading in the river beliw about 100 yards away.
I used my sigma 170-500mm lens to take this photo. at this distance a nice shot showing the birds as part of it's environment were the only options I had. I waited until he had stalked into an area that was clear of any debree or vegetation before taking the shot.
