First two were Silver Lake and the third was actually on the river/creek NE of the lake; just off the road.
Also, I know it totally looks like Whitney but it's actualy the Minarets. And yes, I did get lucky and was blesssed by the cloud spirits
This week and this weekend will be better than last Sunday regarding color...ENJOY!!!! I'll be up there again in 2 weeks; hopefuly there will be some color left.

Thanks Ed. Obviously (judging by the images on your site) the 8:00am light and lack of wind delivered much cleaner images; nice Mono Lake work too. I spent Saturday night at the Motel 6 in Mammoth (minus an alarm clock) and forgot to set my cell phone alarm. Unfortunately I hit the June Lake loop by 9ish and missed any good light and added some wind.
One more week of color plus 6-7am light and I think those shots from the water I took would be much better. I will be up there again not this weekend but the next so hopefully the color will hold and the winds won't blow em' bare.
