An eagle....

Okay, so I looked through this board and my photos are definitely no where near the level as everyone else, but it's an eagle... Does that help? :rofl
I live in Crested Butte and drive to Gunnison for groceries every few weeks. (Groceries here are expensive!) And there is an area about half way there that has a bunch of eagles that nest. (No clue on the actual number, though, but I've heard anywhere from 20-40.) I was absolutely floored the first time I saw one - and I've seen them about 3 or 4 times. This time I had my telephoto, but I was shooting into the sun from pretty far. Bummer.
One of these days I'll just hang out at the park near there and get some GOOD photos... Any CC or suggestions would be MOST appreciated!
Exif for all photos: Aperture: f/8.0 ISO: 200 Focal Length: 300mm Exposure Time: 0.0055s (1/180) (I know, I know... probably all wrong for photos like this! Any suggestions for settings? Thanks!)
Thanks for looking!

Good capture. Eagles are not he most cooperative subject around and any time oyu can get an eagle shot its a good shot, IMHO.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
Thanks, Harry! I always get a thrill every time I see them... Oh, and I read the other post on suggested lenses (and saw others' settings) so I hope I CAN get back down there to take better photos. They are just soooo majestic!
Thanks again!

Thanks so much! That last one sort of surprised me.... I didn't realize there was another eagle out there until I was shooting. Lucky me!
