    It's too blue...needs a little help.

    Attachment not found.

I'm not saying this is the best it could be, but it was one quick click in PS.

    charles-

    hope you don't mind-

I think jeff got the color-

I wanted to try to brighten it a little-

difficult to not go overboard with the small file-

It's a good photo, but I think the bright background is a bit overpowering. A great book for taking photos in natural light is Doulas Allen Box's book. (Look it up on Amazon to see it.) It talks about getting the right amount of light on their face to really give it depth.

If you had turned her a bit, you may have gotten the light brighter on one side of her face than the other and her face would have had more depth. Right now, it's a little bit flat.

I turned it B&W, cropped it and then did some curves adjustments to it to brighten the lighter areas and darken the darker areas. you can see that one side of her face is a bit brighter than the other, but not a lot. I got it a bit less flat, but I think you can get more depth with better lighting.

She's a pretty girl and I really like the pose! I sure hope some of what I said helped....

    Thanks for the comments.
She was in the shade when I did this shot.
I guess it affected the brightness more than I realized it would.

The shade hepls add the blue cast. A fill flash works wonders.
