Watch your step!

I caught this little guy gently stepping onto another flower, a sedum.

Here is the same butterfly with some friends now sipping nectar.

Here is a different group sucking something from a rotting stem of a sunflower.

I believe the above pictures of were of a type of emperor butterfly, but I am not sure. However I am sure that this is a Tawny Emperor. These are two sunning themselves.

These aren't horribly bad shots as I am still learning how to shoot with my macro lens. I desperatley need a tripod with a swivel head because these are all hand-held and that is just not good with a macro lens.

    Macro is a complete other kind of photography as you noticed. This series are very reasonable for handheld but they need more "pep" More light would help?

    Good start on macro shots. Macro shooting is difficult to master. I iwsh I had teh patience for it.
