I was messing with DOF.....knew what I had in my minds eye....hmmm....tell me your thoughts.
This was just down the road...cold and windy today...brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr (Did try this in Mono but liked the color version much better)

Have a problem with the first image. Guess it depends on what you consider the subject.
To me the building (barn?) in the background would have been a more interesting subject and should have been in focus with the branches, etc in the foreground of a lesser importance and maybe out of focus.
Now this one I really like. Love the green roof complimenting the green of the grass in the foreground. Overall a nicely balanced image. Of course YMMV.

yea, I actually thought focusing on the leaves and branches (the subject) would look cool with the barn in the background...I took many more using the barn as subject in clear focus with the foreground OOF....Here is my first choice. Thanks for the input.....that's kind of what I thought too but this had kind of a cool look to it (literally cold outside...)....was trying to capture the mood of the afternoon.
