    Stu,
I right clicked d/l'd one of your images and I can't find any EXIF data, using IView. I also viewed them using ViewExif and no EXIF data was presentne_nau.gif

    HUH?

Where is it getting lost then I wonder?

I upload using smuguploader on my mac is that it? Because the EXIF is definatly on the JPEGs?

Is it when Smugmug convert them to SRGB?

If I right click on the file in bridge and select 'file info' the EXIF and ITPC data is all there?

    My process is

    Take RAW image
    Attach key words in Bridge
    Convert to Jpeg
    Drag images into uploader
    Upload
    Done.

Are you using "Save As" when you save as JPG? Or are you using another method? And, is there a reason you are uploading non-sRGB? ear.gif

Im saving it in Camera Raw andy so 'Save as' isnt an option! I just select 'Save..' to save and convert a batch from RAW to JPEG.

The Jpegs it creates still have the EXIF I can see the exif with Finder or through Bridge.

I read somewhere Adobe RGB was better for some circumstances as it has more colours, all my printing and images on the web is done through you so as long as they are in ARGB then that should be fine shouldnt it?

Still I dont think that should mean my EXIF gets deleted should it?

Stu, please switch immediately to sRGB. Here's why:

Replicating your workflow, I get the exif no problem.

    Take RAW image
    Attach key words in Bridge
    Convert to Jpeg
    Drag images into uploader
    Upload
    Done.

Can you please email me one of the jpgs, help@smugmug.com ATTN: Andy thanks

Andy that is actually what I read and it seems to say

SRGB for displaying on web and printing through you and others e.g

"The printers in most commercial labs, such as whcc, Mpix, ezprints (our lab), Shutterfly (whom we used to use), Kodak, Fujifilm, Photobox, Costco, Snapfish, Wolfe's, etc., shine light on photographic paper, similar to the way film prints are made. They have similar color range to the sRGB color space. Most of them expect your file to be in sRGB and if it isn't, your prints will look washed out."

AdobeRGB for printing on an inkjet

"If you have a photo with colors that fall outside the sRGB range that are important to render accurately, and you have an ink-jet printer that can render them, Adobe 98 is a better choice than sRGB (and ProPhoto is even better)."

So as all my online images are converted by Smugmug to SRGB for display on line and printing by you and then my copies at home are in Adobe RGB for printing on my inkjet printer. Arent I getting the best of both worlds?

IMO, no. Process in sRGB. Upload to Smug. If you must prep a file in Adobe RGB, you can always open the RAW again.

Am using either the Java uploader green smug face or the Mac smugmug uploader.

Just set all of my galleries to show camera info and none of my pictures are showing info???

I know some had it before as i have seen it in the past.

Is there a problem with it displaying it?

The monkey image does not show Exif in the gallery yet the image obviously has it?

    Any ideas?

Send me email with direct link to the monkey image in your gallery. Be sure you've uploaded it with Univ D&D, thanks.

In this gallery http://stuarthill.smugmug.com/gallery/2004245/2/102501820 now I have uploaded the same image twice(the monkey one I sent to you) one with Mac smugmug uploader and one through green smugmug face in 'gallery options' 'add photos'
Neither of them show the EXIF?

Im really confused could it be getting lost when Smugmug is converting it from Argb to SRGB?

did you upload it as ARGB Andy?

Everything is FINE with SmugMug. You've customized away the camera details with this.

    .galleryPage #imageInfo {display:none}

Remove the red from your CSS and you'll be fine.

I cant remember what I put that in for if it does?
