I found this interesting bugger on my window. Does anyone know what kind of bug it is?

Thanks

    It appears to be a young, female scorpionfly or a cranefly.

    Thanks to everyone for the comments and suggestions. Special thanks to Nick for the bug guide link (great site, I'll use it often!).

    The bug is a male (furry antennae) Chronomid.
    A.K.A. : Midge; Non-biting midge (nice to know :D) ;
    Blind mosquitoe.

    Thanks again!

    Male, probably diptera
    See those big feathery antennae? In most insects those are for finding females by scent, meaning this is probably a male...

    It's hard to tell from underneath, but it appears to only have one pair of wings and "halteres" (those yellow knobs), which would make it a true fly (diptera).

    That's about as far as I can go.
