Had a nice morning shoot with my friend Harry B. We spent some time shooting a horribly backlight eagle, 2 night heron, and various other regulars at Viera. (Unfortunately for Harry; who had left ahead of me and missed this guy) I spotted this juv crested caracara who let me get amazingly close for numerous shots. Because he was perched on a woodpile I was unable to capture his "feet".

This is funny. I just finished posting my thread and I see this one when I finsihed. Talk about great minds thinking alike. rolleyes1.gif

I was trying to reach you on your cell after I left to tell you about the caracara but I see you found him on your own.

    Good shot. thumb.gif

Nice capture Trish. It's hard to come close to those birds.

    Thanks for sharing.
