on the Gauley River in West Virginia.
This was some tough shooting.
Bright,bright sun hitting the water.
I pulled out what I could.

:jawdrop Look at the legs flying out of those rafts!!! That does not look like fun to me!!! Those definitely look like some tough shooting conditions, as well, John! Good job!! A lot of "white" water, for sure!!!

Vey nicely done, really wasn't too troubled by the Whites, since it is White water Rafting, and the Action pretty much isolated itself! Nice capture IMHO. Thanks for sharing.

The Gauley is legendary. Some great action catches, John! nod.gif

My question: how did you get to your vantage point? I've never run that river, only know its reputation. Are there places where trails come close enough to the action or have you been hiding the fact that you are an accomplished video/photo-boater?

Sweet! That's on my dream list, although I'll never be good enough to paddle my own kayak down that. Nope, that'll be a raft trip. nod.gif

Nice job!! Now I want to go down Gauley! I've done the New River a couple times and loved it! Last month I left my kayak at home and went with a group of friends and did the lower Yough for a relaxing early fall trip.

I do love the ones with the feet in the air. clap.gif

Ohhhhh myyyy goshhhhh...that doesn't look like any fun. I remember when I went to Vera Cruz and did white water...I ended up just like that. I thought I was going to die. Never again will I subject myself to that. But nonetheless the pictures are great. :D
