2 would be better if the flag was in front or behind the bike in the frame. It's still good though, too bad we couldn't move the flag.
3. Nice. Holeshots are always good!
4. You could crop out that pesky tire on the left side. Dang pole in the way, but what can ya do? I like it.
Panning.... I don't get what all the fuss is about. Maybe on the forum it shows your skill or something at it? I'm new so I don't know. Sure I like a panning shot, but the general mx rider and photo buyer could care less.
Keep it up!
Good points about slower shutter speed but I'll throw in some opposite advice. While we as photographers like certain things, like slower shutters, blurred backgrounds, tons of bokeh, etc. its not necessarily what the riders like to buy. So, if you are shooting and hoping people will buy, then shoot what they want to buy. Odds are they like the crisp detail that a faster shutter gives, rather than the sense of motion (and a lack of detail, no matter how good you are) you get with a slower shutter. Take a look at the MX magazines, they want their pictures to look like what is in the mags.
But if you're shooting for yourself, then take the pics you want to see.
