maggie, our new dog (and third dog)-

our daughter, elisabeth, talked us into taking maggie in-

she was slated for the needle or whatever they do at the pound when time runs out-

maggie is very nervous and you have to be very easy around her-

I believe someone has treated her very badly and I do hope that what goes 'round comes 'round-or for those in california, karma-

a sweet dog, but no more room at fillmoresouth-

Lucky Maggie! She found a good home in the nick of time. She looks like a sweetie. I bet she comes out of her shell in no time at all after being around Bubba and the rest of the family. Enjoy and congrats! Oh..and good for you and your daughter for taking her in! clap.gif

That's moving, both taking Maggie in, and your tribute to your late son Neil. It seems you have quite the heart yourself. :)
enjoy being here while getting there

We want to pick a dog from the street as you did.

You did very well taking this beautufull and kind - we can see it in her eyes - dog into your home.

Health to all the familly and to the dog.

She looks like a real sweetheart, we also take dogs from rescue homes, it's so satisfying to see them respond to love and affection.

This is Bella, she was in a bit of a state, mentally and physically when we first got her, now she's chilled out and fighting fit:-

    update on maggie-

we finally noticed a problem with maggie's back leg-

we took her to the vet today and they x-rayed it, said it was broken a long time ago probably in some accident and had healed at an angle 45 degrees off line-

she is in no pain from it, however-

she's pretty much made herself at home and captured the hearts and minds of the inhabitants of the house (except, strangely enough, that of two dogs and a cat)--
