Any comments are most welcome. Shot this with a 50mm at 1.8. If you are wondering what the red background could be it is a japanese maple tree just about to loose its leaves. They turn a very nice Red color :)

I can see why this one interested you. I think a little closer (unless you're afraid of spidersrolleyes1.gif ) or a tighter crop would help. Needs less of that white area IMO.

You might be able to try this one again in a softer light. Hopefully the spider and the leaf are still there!:D

thanks guys for the comments! problem is i can;t get any closer i was already at the minumum focasing deistance... the red is multiple leaves not one leaf.

I could try the shot again with my 200 bu even that i dont; think will help all that much as i need to be about 7 feet away to focus it.....

Although I agree on a tighter crop, I LOVE the composition and color on this. Screw green leaves, hooray for red!

I also love love love the tiny bit of dew on the webbing. Fantastic!

I think the composition is great - the red and white background is really cool! Only thing I might want to see is slightly more depth of field for more web. I think you could probably go at least one stop before the bokeh in the far away leaves was lost.

Love the comp and colors. I agree with cropping--remove some of the left and lower right white areas, and I think it would make it even better.
