We were back in the thicket when my German Shorthaired Pointer pup, Winslow, turned and looked my way. I liked the filtered light very much on this one. Hope you do too!

    Thanks, Skippy. :D

He has been a quick learner and very willing to please. I just have to be careful not to hurt his feelings. A balance of discipline and praise can sometimes be a tough thing to get right.....so, like my sons, I err on the side of praise.

aw...what a WONDERFUL picture. he looks very sweet and so nice. it makes me miss my dog even more :cry ...winslow caught my name, because we too named our dog after after a writer - Shakespeare. and I just knew when I read winslow, I bet that's a dog's name. We had shakespeare for 12 years, and his health took a turn for the worse, and died mid last july. that is in the top 3 worse times of my life for sure. it was so hard, because It's hard to even remember a time without him, I pretty much grew up with him...

so either way, enough about that, I just love dogs and their character, and when you give a dog a name like winslow or Shakespeare, it just adds so much to them. I don't even know winslow, and I love him already.

    good shot.

Losing a friend is always hard.

Winslow's reason for existence, in his mind, is to please me. So, I take that into account when he needs to be scolded.

    Thanks.:D
