fast upload directions

I am currently using the smugmug uploader on a mac uploading photos the are between 3.5-5 megs per pic. It is taking forever to upload them. I use bellsouth dsl extreme and have never had any speed issues before. Anyone have suggestions?

Hi Lieftv,

Are you uploading directly from your camera, or are you putting your photos thru photoshop first?

You can try saving from photoshop at JPG10, that will bring the file size down greatly, but not affect your quality at all.

I'm uploading from a folder that has the files fro the camera. If I resave them at jpg10 in phototshop what will happen if people want poster size prints

They'll be fantastic! JPG 10 is "Lab Quality."

In order to save at jpeg10 is that done through the save for web function in photoshop?

No, do NOT use save for web

Use "save as" - holler with any more questions.

my save as doen't give the choice of jpg10, where would i find that?
