Starved Rock Color

I went to Starved Rock this morning with Jeff Lapoint to see if there was any fall color left. It was a bit windy but we managed. The falls were flowing pretty well and we even saw a couple Eagles. I've only processed one shot so far so here it is. Comments and critique welcome.

Excellent, Nick! Great use of light for this forest shot. I'd like to see more of these as you get through them.

I see you used the small aperture trick Marc showed us in Utah. I was doing that at the arboretum today and this past Wednesday.

    Nice shot, Nick!
    Great star:-)thumb.gif

I would probably consider darkening the skies a bit (everywhere except the star, of course), if you shot raw you may have some exposure supplies yet...mwink.gif

Thanks David, I've got a couple more I went through that I'll post in the next couple of days. Your shots from the Arboretum were very nice, I just might have to make a trip out there this week.

Thanks for the suggestion Nik but this is already a blend of two exposures from RAW. I think I've gotten as much out of this shot as I am going to get. Plus I like how the sky turned out as is. Thanks for looking!

Oh come on Jeff, I'm sure your shots will blow mine out of the water. We'll have to do this again sometime, I had a great time. Oh and if you're wondering how that Eagle shot came out, here it is. Stupid Branch!
