My new spot

I recnetly decided that I cannot do ALL of my shooting on location so I turned my basement into a studio.

I have plenty of space lenghtwise and about 9' for width. I also have a little tv area for entertaining :) Please ignore the junk on the left.

I also now have the 2 Novatron M300 lights, a 30"x30" softbox and a white and black background with supports. I bought a table and a stool today too.

Some test shots:

(Dog pix: 10D, 50mm 1.8, 1/200th, f8, ISO 100, single light at about 1/2 power and softbox)

Now I need to add a light meter and not just eyeball the exposure.

I won't sell out even if the whole world think's I'm crazy.

Cool! looks fun, I would also note that it is fairly dark behind your dog in the picture, and I assume, that it is not the desired effect.

If I had ever shot studio before, then I might know how to correct that, but, alas, I don't...

    Good luck!!!

I was only running one light and with the softbox. I noticed the dark background too. Next time I'll throw the 2nd light back there. I didn't want to mess with it this time because I didn't know how long my dog would stand being my model.
